Ch. Darkwind's Tropical Fun at Blackrock
Ch. Borderbreeze's Barnstormer at Darkwind X Darkwind's Daily Millions
2001 -

Mango was bred to Ch. Terbo Hotwired at Darkwind (Torque).  The breeding was a first for both of them.  Mango's trim, athletic body complimented Torque's heavier bone and cobbier overall type. The result was a pleasing blend of the Northumbian and Wiston Cap type Border Collies. Eight pups, three girls and five boys were born Nov. 19, 2004.

Mango was bred in August 2006 to Ch. Cinlock's Catchword (Dane)  for her second litter.  Four puppies were born October 12, 2006.

Mango is OFA good and elbows normal. She is CEA normal per DNA testing.

Recent advances in genetic testing have provided a genetic profile of Mango's status for Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (TNS). Mango is a carrier. She can still be safely bred to a dog who is TNS clear, thus although there is a statistical probablitity that some of her puppies will also be TNS carriers, none of the puppies will have the disease -- which is fatal. In a perfect world the very best puppy in Mango's litter will luckily be TNS clear and allow continued breeding from this sturdy and mellow bitch's lovely bloodlines without future TNS risks.

Below, six month old Mango takes her first points in the June 2002 Montana circuit under Judge Robert Shreeves.

Mango is a water fiend -- like many Border Collies.  Left: she attacks an impact sprinkler.
Right: Mango looks downfield through an early morning fog in Germany.
