In 1995 Black Rock added Border Collies to the kennel. The same stringent selection principles are applied to the breeding of this active herding breed. Black Rock Border Collies are exclusively from Darkwind Border Collies foundation stock, a blend of superior English, New Zealand, and Australian bloodlines enhanced through the dedication of founding breeder Robyn L. Powley.
Black Rock Border Collies, like their Aussie cousins, are actively competing in conformation, junior showmanship, obedience, agility, and stock dog forums as well as pet therapy programs.
