Black Rock Moves Across Atlantic & Then Some

ALBUQUERQUE: In a surprise move the Black Rock Kennels management announced a major relocation of the kennel operations.  Storey and Kennel Master, Robin, will oversee the move to the small town of Viseck, Germany in late January. Located an hour east of Nurenberg and 30 minutes from the Czech Republic border, Vilseck's population will top 380 with the addition of Storey and Robby.

Three dogs will make the initial move along with 18,000 pounds of household goods and one car.  Border Collie Mango, Australian Shepherd Gaza, and Corgi Spice have completed the rigorous exams, microchipping, and vaccines demanded by the European Union countries.  The pay-off for the girls will come through the increased opportunities for accompanying their people to restaurants, on public transportation, and to various events.

New challenges also await the kennel crew.  Registration with the FCI is one complication to be explored.  Then there are the new championships to be won! On the human side, Storey begins a new job teaching at the Vilseck American Middle High School, where Robby will also attend.

The Albuquerque kennels will continue under the firm direction of Mike with an emphasis in Beagling.
