Both Mango and Torque started in the show ring as puppies. Both finished their championships as puppies. So, like kids too young and too smart for their own good everywhere they.... well, that story is unfinished.
This story has quite a happy ending! Eight gorgeous and vigorous puppies were bone on Nov. 19th, 2004. Mango started into labor on Thursday night but held off till the morning. But Storey had to teach a second period class Friday morning. Mango, ever open to adventure, loaded up in Storey's van and into the waiting mobile whelping box. Storey's clas went by fast, but not fast enough for Mango. Storey headed home at 10 a.m. and half way there puppy squeaks from the back announced the first arrival. Seven more followed over the next eight hours. There were three blue and whites in the litter, suprisingly they were all girls. That certainly made for easy recognition with the five boys all blck and white.
