Ch. Black Rock Victory at Sea HT
(Ch. Private Stoc's Task Force x Ch. Black Rock Exiled CD)
1998-
Exis' maternal grandfather, Ch. Sand Canyon Coup de Main CD, seems to have had a throwback-hand in the development of Exis' son, Pacifico.  A robust blue merle dog, Pacifico has a magnificent head, set on a long, strongly-cresting neck, leading to flawless shoulders.  His short coupled back and powerful rear exude the effortless driving action of a long-range, long-day worker.

Like most Black Rock boys, Pacifico has been very slow to mature.  While his sister Tahoe finished dual AKC and ASCA championships, Pacifico was still trying to grow a coat and grow into his head.  He's made up for lost time.  A strikingly handsome dog with piercing blue eyes, Pacifico has started his show career in the hands of his co-owner, Robyn Powley.

While waiting for time to pass, Pacifico started agility training.  Although not yet ready for competition, he already shows the promise that his sister didn't get all the brains in the litter.  He is particularly impressive on the A frame.  At competition speed he hits the A frame in the contact zone and then jumps over the top to land in the opposite contact zone.

Pacifico at 9 years
Memorial Day weekend 2004 demanded an overnight drive across the desert to the west.  Arriving in Las Vegas at 4 a.m., Storey and Robyn snagged a couple hours sleep then headed for an ASCA 2-day, 4-show event. Saturday's morning show proved to be a warm-up, but the afternoon show closed with Pacifico going Winner's Dog from the Bred by Exhibitor class and Best of Winner's over the Open Blue Winner's Bitch to finish his ASCA title.  Sunday was spent more lesiurely as Storey, Robyn, and Vegas host Dave Brown found a champagne breakfast to toil over.
July 8 & 9, 2001 Pacifico completed his Herding Tested title in Galisteo, NM.  His two runs were not, perhaps, models of control.  However his power, presence, enthusiasm, and obedience all served to get the sheep around the course.

Pacifico showed a few times in 2003.  He picked up majors in both ASCA and the AKC.

2004 started nicely from the male perspective.  Pacifico was bred to Diamond -- the first litter for him while the second for her.  Puppies were born April 10th.  Jump to puppy page.

Pacifico finished his ASCA championship in 2004 and his AKC championship in 2005.

When not training on the agility course, Pacifico is Storey's running companion.

Pacifico is OFA excellent. He is a CEA carrier per DNA testing. No longer at stud, Pacifico is retired.

Pacifico was bred to Dame in July 2007. Puppies were born in September.  Jump to puppy page
